The Hover fly at 4 frames a second

Coming from the east, it gently flies through.

Slowly gaining height with landing gear up.

Higher it climbs, wings beating like a small drum.

Almost at full height.

Altitude of  around 20mm reached,

Off and on to better things, maybe some pollen is in order.

The life of a small hover fly at 4 frames a second for 1.5 seconds. Beautiful fly to watch.
